Indications
Preventative measures to prevent various diseases caused by human papillomavirus types 6, 11, 16 and 18 are available for children and adolescents aged 9 to 17 years, and for young women aged 18 to 26 years. These measures are aimed at preventing diseases such as cancer of the cervix, vulva and vagina, as well as genital warts (condyloma acuminata).
It should be noted that the use of this prophylaxis also helps prevent precancerous dysplastic conditions in children and adolescents aged 9 to 17 years, as well as in young women aged 18 to 26 years. These conditions include cervical adenocarcinoma in situ (AIS), cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grades 2 and 3 (CIN 2/3), vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia grades 2 and 3 (VIN 2/3), and vaginal intraepithelial neoplasia grades 2 and 3 ( VaIN 2/3) and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 1 (CIN 1).
Contraindications
The vaccine is not recommended for persons with hypersensitivity to its components and excipients. If signs of hypersensitivity occur after the first dose, subsequent doses should be postponed.
Relative contraindications are bleeding disorders caused by hemophilia, thrombocytopenia or taking anticoagulants. If the use of a vaccine in such patients is necessary, the benefits of vaccination and the risks associated with it must be carefully assessed. In the case of vaccination in these situations, measures must be taken to reduce the risk of hematoma formation after injection.
