The use of the substance Olanzapine
Schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders with severe productive and negative symptoms, affective disorders (treatment of exacerbations, maintenance and long-term anti-relapse therapy), acute manic or mixed seizures in bipolar affective disorder with / without psychotic manifestations, with / without rapid phase change.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, breastfeeding.
Application restrictions
Renal and / or liver failure, benign prostatic hypertrophy, history of seizures, Parkinson’s disease, cerebrovascular disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes mellitus, eosinophilia, myeloproliferative diseases, paralytic ileus, angle-closure glaucoma, concomitant use of drugs that lengthen the QT interval (especially in old age), dehydration, hypovolemia, history of myocardial infarction, heart failure, breast cancer, incl. in history, pregnancy, age up to 18 years (safety and efficacy not established).
Use during pregnancy and lactation
During pregnancy – with caution, comparing the intended benefit to the mother and the potential risk to the fetus.
The category of action on the fetus according to the FDA is C.
At the time of treatment should stop breastfeeding.
